The Bree Eriksen Memorial Dance Award

Honouring passion, talent, and commitment in dance since 2001.

Empowering dancers to pursue their dreams — in memory of Bree Eriksen.

The Bree Eriksen Memorial Dance Award celebrates the life and legacy of Bree Eriksen, an inspiring young woman whose passion for dance continues to uplift the next generation. This award - supported by EducationMatters and the Calgary Foundation, has recognized outstanding young dancers since 2001 — awarding over $30,000 to committed and talented individuals in the Calgary dance community.

Each year, one deserving dancer is selected based on their artistic excellence, dedication, and aspirations in dance. Whether your path leads to performance, choreography, or teaching, this award exists to support your growth and inspire others.

“And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance… I hope you dance.”
Lee Ann Womack
